The Wine: Fusion Red Blend 2020 La Petite Baigneuse Fusion Red Blend 2020 is a red natural wine made from a blend of 50% Grenache Noir, 30% Carignan, and 20% Llardoner Pelut grapes farmed organically in Maury, Languedoc-Roussillon, South-eastern France. The vineyards are about 45-yeard-old are grow in Schist soils. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast, bottled unfiltered and unfined, no added sulfites. About 8000 bottles made. The Producer: La Petite Baigneuse La Petite Baigneuse (The Little Bather) is a radical shift in our understanding of Maury, located in the south east corner of France. It is a dramatically beautiful landscape, surrounded by cliffs and wild shrubbery, the cold northern wind of the Tramontana winds leaves its mark on the vineyard. Although Philippe Wies proudly makes the sweet Grenache we’ve come to love from the region, his dry wines are seriously compelling. Schisty soils, gritty and gorgeous wines.
